Final retainers are clear, removable and customized appliances that will hold your teeth in place. These are removable and given to the patient after the braces have been removed.  They are usually passive retainers.

Caring For Your Retainers

We will do everything we can to ensure you get the perfect smile you want as quickly as possible. At the same time, the end result also relies on your ability to look after retainers and follow our instructions. To ensure the best outcome, here are a few tips:

1 – Follow the instructions given to you by Dr. Zammit – wear them when necessary to prevent shifting or movement.

2 – Remove your retainers while eating and use the retainer case you will have been given.

3 – Brush and clean your retainers thoroughly twice a day

4 – Keep your retainers away from hot water or anything else hot that could cause damage, and away from your pets!
